History of the Lanvin brand

The Lanvin brand is the oldest French fashion company, created by Jeanne Lanvin in 1889. It is a symbol of Parisian luxury, from fashion to perfume and accessories. Jeanne Lanvin had great talent and created a particular style, a complete world of elegance and sophistication. She loved culture, surrounding herself with artists and rising stars from many different fields, leaving behind a unique cultural legacy.

Since September 2001, Lanvin has been a thriving, independent company. Its owners have successfully restored the great French company to its former glory by appointing a new artistic director: Alber Elbaz, who skilfully coordinates Lanvin's creative activities. Jeanne Lanvin's company is still headquartered at numbers 15 and 22 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, on a street renowned worldwide in the luxury industry.

Lanvin has 27 freestanding shops and 25 franchises, as well as 730 outlets around the world, promoting the brand and expanding its sales network through its e-commerce site, currently targeting European and American markets.

Each shop is truly unique in its reinterpretation of the brand's style. In 1924, Jeanne Lanvin created Lanvin Parfums at Rond-Point des Champs-Elysees 4. The legendary Arpège fragrance was born three years later and immediately became a 'must-have'. 90 years later, the brand boasts many fragrances for men and women.
